About IAN...

IAN (short for Implicit Affinity Network) is an open community --- anyone can quickly join --- that shows how people are related and the affinity networks they belong to.
  • Upon joining the community you describe yourself using any attributes (and values) that you choose, thus creating your user profile. After you have added a number of attributes to your profile, there is a good chance that you will have affinities with other community members
  • Then, you can view the Implicit Affinity Networks (IANs) that show how you are connected to other community members!
  • How will you use the affinity networks to direct your interaction with other individuals in the community?
  • Feel free to update your profile as frequently as you wish! The affinity networks will adapt the changes that you and others make. Even if you haven't changed your profile in a while, there is a chance that the affinity networks will evolve, as the attributes of others will always be changing
