Call for Workshop Proposals

Following the success of workshops at past ICHI Conferences, we cordially invite you to submit your workshop proposal to ICHI 2017.

Workshops are an integral part of ICHI 2017 and will be held on the day prior to the start of the main program. Workshops at ICHI 2017 may be planned for a full day or only half a day, and should address topics relevant to healthcare informatics. A list of topics of interest to ICHI 2017 can be found at here.

The ideal ICHI 2017 workshop proposal will focus on a timely and emerging topic, and be able to attract a number of interesting and high-quality contributions that spark discussions in an informal setting. The organizers can determine the format of the workshop that may include paper presentations, invited talks, panels, or any other type of activity that will foster interaction and discussion. We strongly encourage workshop formats that stimulate conversations and inspire new research ideas in focused areas. Therefore the number of presentations should be kept to a minimum. The approved workshop organizers are responsible to invite and review submissions, decide the workshop program, and organize the workshop.

All ICHI 2017 workshop papers will be appear in the conference proceedings published by IEEE and will be made available on IEEE Explore. Workshop organizers will be invited to give a brief summary presentation of their workshop results in the ICHI 2017 plenary session. It is also envisaged that successful workshops may form the basis for special issues of the Journal of Heath Informatics Research.

Each workshop proposal should include the following information:

Organizers: Names, affiliations, and email addresses; contact person; organizers’ background.
