Marissa Nielsen is an Information Systems major and Computer Science minor, studying at Brigham Young University. She's a Program Director for BYU's Family Literacy program, a member of CEO's Venture Analysis group, makes brief tutorials for CS and ISys courses, and (of course) a proud member of ASM's A-Team.

[edit] Current Work

  • Currently researching educational data mining to try to improve BYU's online courses.
  • Crafted a couple tutorials, such as one on Window's Tortoise SVN client and on Installing java. She hopes to make a few more for the ISys program.
  • Since joining the lab in March 2009, she assisted Matthew Smith in researching social capital by way of language acquisition and implicit affinity networks (IAN).
